Long Curly HairstylesSubject: GC celebrity encounter

I was at the Oxnard Ca. GC. I was standing near a guy in his late 50's
I'd guess who was looking at the Fender section as was I. Then another guy
walked up and started talking to the first guy about Fender's. Guy #1
mentioned how he had changed out the "Mother of Toilet seat" pick guard on
his re-issue Tele for a pearl one. I butted in and said that I had done the
same thing. We chatted briefly about Tele's then I moved down the line a bit
and was looking at the Gretsch's but still in easy earshot.
The two were going on about how great Fender's "used" to be. Then guy #2
asked guy #1 if he ever heard of the Electric Prunes. #1 said, "oh yeah,
sure" but didn't expound.
But this caught my ear because who ever talks about the Electric Prunes?
Well, #2 say's he was one of the guitar players for the Electric Prunes. Guy
#1 wheels around and say's "oh really?". Then they kinda got off into their
own little world and since I really only knew the name didn't get involved.
But when I got home I checked YouTube. I knew "I had too much to dream last
night" but never knew who did it. The vids were so old and grainy I couldn't
have told in a million years if he was one of the guitarists. But I was
thinking, if he was gonna bullshit somebody he would he have picked TEP's.
Not likely.
I wish I would have talked to him more because he seemed like a totally
cool and very nice guy. It was more the fact that I didn't know anything
about or by TEP's. If I had just known they did "I had too much...." I would
have felt a little more comfortable in talking to him.
