Yep, you said a mouthful there. There seem to be a lot of people in
this group who can't wait to wade in and attack certain styles and
playing philosophies. Mostly this seems to be directed toward things
that actually take some effort to learn - like reading music,
understanding music theory, and developing good playing technique. I
can't help but think people are trying to defend their own ignorance.
I mean, none of those things are necessary to be a successful player
perhaps, but that is no reason to attack players who want to learn
them. And heaven help anyone who can play faster than them, because
they are going to get the " mindless noodler" label.
