Same here. Any time I try to tune without reference (like when I
change strings), I wind up tuning to Eb or D. Maybe because it's
easier for me to sing when I downtune. Maybe it makes me feel like I
have a better vocal range.

I'm pretty happy with the tuner in my XT Live. It's fairly easy and it
mutes the signal. I had a Behringer rack tuner for a while, but it was
a pain. It never recognized the low E string. I wound up tuning the
open A, then tuning the other strings to that. Kinda lame for an
electronic tuner.
