I think Zappa was an important musician who will cast a larger shadow
as time passes. However, I don't really like his music.

I think a person saying "it sucks" is expressing that they don't like
it and to them it has no value. The problem with saying such a thing
is that it's not specific and people who do like the subject of the
sucking get their panties in a bunch. Who really cares. It's all
personal choice.
