Oh yea each did things better than the other but their not the same and both
are unique. SRV is one that will probably never be matched as well. That's
why musicians need to play and hone their own mojo. My point is Jimi sounds
like Jimi because he's Jimi. People that think they can capture the exact
nuances of some other great players style are fooling themselves. The thing
you want to do is give justice to the composition by using your own
interpretations and mojo of other players songs. SRV did that in a great way
and his interpretations of Hendrix's songs are awesome.
