hey dippy, check wikki
""The song evolved over time from a song called "Catfish Blues" which
Hendrix also called "Experiencing the Blues", an homage to Muddy Waters.
The song was made up of a medley of verses based on Muddy Water's songs,
including "Rollin' Stone", "Still a Fool", and "Rollin' and Tumblin'""
shows what you know. So jimi didn't create it from scratch. He pulled it
from Muddy Waters. All musicians were influenced by something. your
statements are ignorant.
jimi covered songs too. a lot of people cover songs. George thorogood
covers many songs, and even acknowledges that all the old guys are the
real blues and he is humble about his playing. I love George, and his
style of playing. many people like SRV's style also. ( YOU DO TOO, I CAN
HEAR IT)
I am wondering what legacy YOU are trying to leave behind. now since you
have gotten over your SRV worship and found his roots, what do YOU have
to show for it? I hear a lot of blather and pomp how you are a black man
playing the blues.
maybe get off youtube and get into the clubs.
