It relates to him sucking as far as having any originality and being
any kind of a songwriter, he sucks on guitar because 80% of everything
he plays on is just a poor rip off of Albert King.
And yes I know he & Albert King any many other Bluesmen were friends,
and I know he paid them to use thier songs, that still does not
justify it though.
It's on SRV though, that's the legacy SRV has left behind, to be
another mediocre artist like Elvis & Sinatra who's bulk of recorded
works consists of mostly songs that were written by someone else.
I'd rather hear Jimi Hendrix play Voodoo Chile, it's Jimi's song, he
created it from nothing, it means something to hear Jimi play it
because it came from Jimi's imagination & soul, it's a part of Jimi,
it means absolutely nothing to hear SRV play it, because it did not
come from SRV's imagination or soul.
I'd rather hear Nuclear Warrior, or the California Jam./
