It is exactly like asking what your favorite ice cream is Jim. For
me, I have 3 different pedals for the different applications I use.

I favor a Dumble (Robben Ford/Larry Carlton) distortion, tight,
focused, lower gain, upper mids, for my default OD. However, I will
stack my Gaspedal Carb, which has a looser Marshalleque sound.

I also have a Keely Fuzzhead, which uses both geranium and silicon
transistors for a creamy, mellower fuzz (ger) to a brighter, more
agressive fuzz (sil). Some are stackable also.

Finally, I have a NOC3 Firefly, which is a pretty versatile pedal with
3 way mid toggle. Pretty cool little unit. I use the NOC3 Earthtone
clean boost pedal, not for gain, but for a buffer and coloring agent.
Makes my tone fuller somehow, like the Xotic, but better imo.

This, after years of Rat, MXR, Boss, Digitech, TS, etc. I got tired
of going for the same sounds that I hear so often.
